Annual maintenance of photovoltaic stations

Proper maintenance of a photovoltaic park results in the following:

  • The reduction of failures and therefore the reduction of operating costs
  • Maximize the operating efficiency of the photovoltaic park installation
  • Extend the lifetime of the equipment
  • Recording and keeping a log of equipment status-operation

The maintenance of a photovoltaic park mainly includes the following tasks:

  • Inverter maintenance, at least once a year
  • DC String Box inspection, at least once a year
  • Periodic Check & Load Logging – park performance check
  • Thermographic equipment check and where necessary
  • Panel cleaning, at least 2 times per year
  • Cleaning the field of grass etc. at least 2 times a year
  • Checking protection devices – cameras
  • Immediate intervention to check and repair damage
  • Controls of partial discharges of the substation equipment M.T.

Maintenance schedules may be modified based on your requirements and the specifics of each installation.
